Come Out Of The Prayer Closet

God has been calling me to release this message, “Come out of the prayer closet” for some time. I have been resisting it a little. That hasn’t went well for me. So here we are.
This is the message that God has called me to release to the Church:
“It’s time to come out of the prayer closet. It’s time to be the hands and feet of Jesus. In fact, it’s time to BE Jesus to the world. It’s time to practice love in motion. Love looks like something.
You have to go beyond praying and begin DOING THE THINGS THAT NEED TO BE DONE. Instead of only praying for someone who is in need, see if you are able to help meet that need. Don’t PRAY FOR the hungry. FEED THEM. Don’t just pray for the sick. HEAL THEM. Don’t just pray for the lonely. VISIT WITH THEM. Love them. Listen to them. Be their friend.
It’s time to put your love into action. It’s time to rise up and mobilize together as a BODY that brings Heaven to Earth in a million tangible, yet simple ways. It starts with you. It starts with simplicity and intentionality. Can you make a sandwich for a hungry person today? Can you offer water? Can you love with reckless abandon, and no agenda?
The answer is yes. Yes you can. There is family resemblance. I Am your Father and you resemble My character. I am proud of you.”
This was what God has been communicating to me for several years now but it recently became very apparent to me that God was also calling me to begin releasing this word to the Body of Christ. Previously I had simply been receiving this word for myself and just living it out. Recently something shifted and God just began to beckon me to release this also for the Body.
Now with this word I want to also add this very important clarifying statement. This is not a slam against your prayer life, and it’s not a call to stop praying. PLEASE DO NOT READ IT AS THAT because it is not my intention to devalue the power of prayer.
Instead, it’s a call to make prayer what it should be: a constant ongoing dialogue with God; prayer is meant to be a never-ending conversation with God.
Here’s the main point: PRAYER CANNOT REPLACE ACTION. Love looks like something.
I really feel like God is calling us to mobilize His Body to release Heaven on Earth like never before.
Instead of just praying for a move of God, it’s time for us to BE a move of God.
Let’s do this.
